BOMA 2017 For Office Buildings Seminar

BOMA Office Measurement Standard: The What, Where and Why of Building Measurement

For more than a century, BOMA has set the standard for measuring office buildings, starting with the publication of the first “Office Measurement Standard” in 1915. BOMA 2017 for Office Buildings: Standard Methods of Measurement (ANSI/BOMA Z65.1—2017)  is the latest update to the office standard.  As office buildings continue to evolve with complex architectural designs along with the growing tenant demands for amenity-rich building features, the BOMA 2017 Office Standard addresses the changing office building landscape.  This three-hour course focuses on what property managers and brokers need to know about floor measurements. This course does not teach how to measure office space, but how accurate measurements will increase asset value.

Attendees of this course will:

  • Understand the purpose of the BOMA floor measurement standards;
  • Learn the difference between Method A and Method B;
  • Understand the methodologies and concepts; and
  • Find out what is new in the 2017 BOMA Office Standard.
